Clay made a huge impact in his first season last year, finishing runner-up in club best and fairest, winning selection in the NEAFL Team of the Year and taking out the competition’s Mark of the Year. It could hardly get any better, but Clay’s professionalism will ensure it does. A consummate clubman, he sets a great example for the younger players. He was recruited from Gold Coast Suns, where he accumulated 23 AFL matches during his four-year stint. Strong in the air and equipped with excellent attacking skills, Clay brings depth to the Bombers’ midfield or in attack.
