Club captain – he became the youngest NEAFL skipper on record when named last season – Hayden is an integral part of the Bombers’ midfield with his strong attack on the ball. He is already a NEAFL premiership player when he was part of Brisbane’s triumph as an 18-year-old in 2013. Recruited to Redland in 2014 and made an immediate impact. The son of 1987 Grogan Medallist, Terry Simmonds, Hayden was rewarded for his consistency by winning the NEAFL Rising Star in 2016. His attack on the ball and consummate skills are recognised throughout the competition.
