Joined the Bombers after six years with Brisbane Lions, where he held on to a variety of roles. Was briefly assistant-coach at Aspley before the call from Brisbane. Started as the Lions’ senior runner in 2009 and then was moved into rotations during the season. He was promoted to the coach’s box where he called rotations for two years. From 2012-15, Jarrod’s role consisted of Opposition Analysis/Rotations Assistant/Coaching Group Assistant which covered match day operations. He joined Redland to work with the Midfield group after taking a year off in 2016.
Jarrod is a former Victorian where he played his junior football and after moving to Brisbane made his senior debut with Kedron-Grange. He then switched to North Brisbane/Northern Eagles QAFL playing in the 2002 grand final which they lost after losing only one match through the season. Injury forced his retirement, but he attempted a comeback with Redland, but which ultimately proved beyond him because of the sad state of his back/knees.
