Impressed in his first season last year as a strong-marking tall defender. Was called on to undertake some hefty roles and stepped up to the plate willingly. A junior product from Rockhampton, Stephen broke into the senior ranks as a 17-year-old with Southport, where he also won a scholarship with Gold Coast Suns. His career then headed west where he spent three years in the WAFL, playing with South Fremantle and Perth. He was most consistent last year and looks set to play a key role in the backline once again.
